A six-year-old girl was allegedly killed by her father inside a train at Silanibari station in Assam’s Lakhimpur district on March 3, officials said. The incident occurred around 9:15 am inside a general coach of the Dekargaon–Murkongselek Express. According to a Northeast Frontier Railway spokesperson, the accused has been arrested. Personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) reached the spot soon after the incident and took him into custody.
