Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya on Thursday reviewed the various welfare-oriented schemes and initiatives being implemented by Lok Bhavan for the benefit of the people across the State.
The Governor reviewed the progress, impact and effectiveness of the schemes and outreach programmes undertaken by Lok Bhavan.
“Inspired by the people-centric governance model and the vision of Antyodaya championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, these initiatives have been conceived to bring about meaningful and measurable improvements in the lives of the beneficiaries,” he stated.
Stressing the need for efficient, transparent and timely implementation of all schemes, he underscored the importance of ensuring that governance remains responsive to the needs of the people.
Detailed discussions were held on the grassroots execution of the schemes, their reach among intended beneficiaries and measures to further enhance their effectiveness.
The Governor directed the officials to strengthen public awareness, improve accessibility and ensure robust monitoring of all initiatives.
Acharya also underscored the importance of adopting a more citizen-centric approach in the implementation of welfare programmes and called upon the officers and staff to work with dedication and commitment towards advancing the objectives of inclusive development and public welfare.
