Siliguri District Hospital Enhances Diagnostic Facilities with Portable Ultrasound

Siliguri District Hospital has strengthened its emergency and critical care services with the introduction of a portable ultrasonography (USG) machine, significantly improving diagnostic facilities for patients. The hospital, the second-largest government healthcare institution in Darjeeling district after North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, has also recently added a portable X-ray machine to enhance patient care. The portable USG machine became operational on Wednesday and has been placed near the labour room to provide immediate ultrasound examinations during obstetric emergencies.
