The All-Bodo Students Union (ABSU) has sought immediate intervention of the Assam Chief Minister in addressing the issue of shortage of Bodo medium textbooks in schools across the State. An ABSU delegation, led by president Kwrwmdao Wary, submitted a memorandum to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through the Kokrajhar District Commissioner at the latter’s office in Kokrajhar on Thursday. More than 1.92 lakh motor vehicle offence cases were registered across Assam, while fine amounting to Rs 18.48 crore was realized during the period.
