In a significant move to strengthen cyber security and provide faster assistance to victims of online financial fraud, the Assam Government on Tuesday launched the “e-Zero FIR Initiative”. Under this new system, complaints related to cyber financial crimes filed through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP) or the cyber crime helpline 1930 will be automatically converted into Zero FIRs, enabling immediate police action.
