Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) recorded a 50% year-on-year increase in domestic wholesales in October 2026, selling 3,600 units against 2,402 units in the corresponding month last year. The company registered its eighth consecutive month of year-on-year domestic growth.
From January to October 2026, Nissan recorded total wholesales of 85,124 units across domestic and export markets. Exports stood at 4,710 units in October, reflecting the company’s continued presence in international markets.
Managing Director SaurabhVatsa said the October performance reflected sustained customer confidence and progress in strengthening Nissan’s presence in India. He highlighted the company’s expanding product portfolio and dealer network, while emphasising its focus on customer experience ahead of Dhanteras and Diwali.
Nissan’s product portfolio includes the all-new Tekton, Magnite and Gravite. The company said these models would support its strategy to expand its reach across key segments of the Indian automotive market. Its ‘One Car. One World.’ strategy also focuses on maintaining consistent global quality standards for domestic and international customers.
In Guwahati, Nissan’s growth could provide an opportunity to strengthen its position in Assam’s passenger vehicle market, particularly in the SUV segment. The festive season typically offers automakers an important opportunity to attract buyers, although the impact on local sales will depend on customer demand, pricing, financing options and dealership reach.
