Himanta briefs Amit Shah on Assam’s flood response 

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Sunday and briefed him about the flood response initiatives undertaken by the state government.
“Today in New Delhi, I had the privilege of meeting Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri @AmitShah Ji and briefing him on the #AssamFloodResponse, along with several other important matters concerning Assam,” the Chief Minister posted on X.
Expressing his gratitude to Shah, Sarma said that throughout the devastating floods in the state, Shah remained in constant touch with the state and extended every possible help.
“In today’s meeting too, he acknowledged the scale of damage caused by the floods. He assured the Government of India’s unequivocal support for rehabilitation and restoration,” Sarma said.
“As always, I come away from every meeting with Shri Amit Shah Ji enriched by his meticulous attention to detail, and his unwavering commitment to a secure and stable Assam. Grateful, as always, for his guidance and steadfast support,” he added.
