Guwahati has emerged as India’s fastest-growing pet care market, recording a staggering 1,473 per cent year-on-year surge in pet care orders, according to data released by Instamart, highlighting  the rapid shift from pet ownership to pet parenting across the country. The report, based on Instamart orders between June 2025 and June 2026 across more than 130 cities, found that pet care orders nationwide grew 41 per cent year-on-year, driven by rising demand for premium nutrition, grooming products, wellness supplements and treats. Kolkata has emerged as India’s most cat-dominated pet care market, with more than eight out of every 10 cat-and-dog food orders in the city being placed for cats, according to an analysis of Instamart orders between June 2025 and June 2026. Turkish Airlines reported a strong performance in May 2026, carrying 7.9 million passengers and achieving the highest May traffic figures in its history, supported by growth in passenger capacity and cargo operations. The airline said its available seat kilometers (ASK), a key measure of passenger carrying capacity, rose 2.5 per cent year-on-year to 23.2 billion in May from 22.6 billion in the corresponding month of 2025.
