Coca-Cola India’s homegrown beverage brand Limca has launched its first-ever Punjab Special Can, a limited-edition collectible celebrating the state’s culture, heritage and vibrant identity. The launch is part of the brand’s ‘One State, One Can: Crafted for Collection’ initiative, which seeks to highlight the distinctive character of Indian states and cities through specially designed cans.
The limited-edition packaging showcases Punjab’s cultural traditions and regional identity, transforming the regular beverage can into a collectible keepsake. The initiative is aimed particularly at young and urban consumers, encouraging discovery, sharing and engagement with regional culture.
The launch will also be supported by a consumer-focused social media campaign on Instagram featuring Bollywood actor Ananya Panday. Artists and digital creators will be encouraged to share their interpretations of Punjab’s culture, landmarks and everyday experiences.
Pankaj Sinha, Senior Director, Integrated Operations, North India, Coca-Cola India, said the initiative would strengthen Limca’s connection with consumers by celebrating Punjab’s distinctive character. He added that the special edition would reach consumers through the company’s extensive retail network.
Soham Goenka, Director, Ludhiana Beverages Pvt Ltd, said Punjab remained an important market for the company and highlighted its distribution capabilities and regional retail network in taking the initiative to consumers.
In Kolkata, the initiative reflects the growing potential of regionalised packaging and limited-edition products in India’s competitive beverage sector. Such campaigns could offer brands an opportunity to connect with consumers through local cultural identities while creating additional engagement across urban retail markets, including Kolkata.
The Limca Punjab Special Can is currently being rolled out across Punjab.
