Škoda Auto India has unveiled the new Slavia, strengthening its sedan portfolio with refreshed styling, new technology, enhanced comfort and additional powertrain options, while also announcing the return of the Octavia RS and all-new Superb TDI to India. The new Slavia gets all-new LED headlamps and taillamps with sequential turn indicators, redesigned alloy wheels, refreshed interiors and a new Monte Carlo variant. A key introduction is an eight-speed torque-converter automatic paired with the 1.0 TSI engine, making it the first sedan in its segment to offer the combination. The 1.0 TSI also gets a six-speed manual, while the 1.5 TSI continues with a seven-speed DSG.
The sedan also introduces a segment-first rear-seat massage function, 360-degree Area View camera, Park Pilot, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit and a next-generation infotainment system with AI Companion powered by Google Cloud, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It retains its 5-star Global NCAP safety credentials, with six airbags and more than 25 safety features standard. In Guwahati, the expanded sedan line-up could strengthen Škoda’s appeal among premium-car buyers seeking European engineering, safety and technology, particularly as urban customers increasingly demand feature-rich vehicles suited to both city driving and highway travel.
The new Slavia is available for pre-booking at ₹15,000. Octavia RS bookings open at ₹2.5 lakh, limited to 50 units, while expressions of interest are open for the Superb TDI, with deliveries expected by the end of Q2 next year. The company said the Slavia has sold nearly 80,000 units to date.
