Jawa 42 completes AllStars range with new design, 60-plus enhancements

JawaYezdi Motorcycles has unveiled the new Jawa 42, completing its AllStars range alongside the Jawa 42 FJ and Jawa 42 Bobber, ahead of the festive season.
Positioned as the biggest evolution of the motorcycle that helped establish the modern classic category in India, the new Jawa 42 gets more than 60 enhancements, including a wider and more muscular stance, redesigned side panels, alloy wheels, wider tyres, a reworked rear section and a compact upswept twin exhaust.
The motorcycle retains key Jawa design elements, including the round headlamp, 13.2-litre fuel tank and flat, bench-style seat. The 790-mm sculpted seat has been redesigned with enhanced cushioning. The rear section now features a wider fender and a 150/70-17 rear tyre.
The Jawa 42 is powered by a 294.72cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine producing 27.19 hp at 7,950 rpm and 26.3 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. It gets dual-channel ABS with 280mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes.
According to Classic Legends Co-founder AnupamThareja, the AllStars identity reflects the values of character, conduct and courage associated with Jawa riders.
The Jawa 42 starts at Rs 1,79,942 (ex-showroom Delhi), with bookings open and deliveries scheduled to begin from September 14. It will be offered in six colourways.
The motorcycle also comes with JawaYezdi’s Ownership Assurance Program, including a four-year/50,000-km standard warranty, extended warranty options up to six years, roadside assistance for up to eight years and AMC coverage for up to five years.
