Classic Legends marks World Motorcycle Day with nationwide rider celebration

Classic Legends brought together riders from its Jawa, Yezdi and BSA communities across India to celebrate World Motorcycle Day, with more than 2,000 motorcyclists participating in rides held across 59 cities in 19 states. Observed globally on June 21, World Motorcycle Day celebrates the freedom, adventure and camaraderie associated with motorcycling. The nationwide event saw riders from different backgrounds and age groups come together, reflecting the growing popularity of community-led riding culture in the country.

As part of the celebrations, Classic Legends launched the Guardian Bell Initiative, aimed at promoting awareness of a long-standing motorcycling tradition. Guardian Bells, often gifted by fellow riders, friends or family members, are regarded as symbols of goodwill, protection and companionship on journeys. During the event, riders exchanged and received Guardian Bells to reinforce values of safety, mutual support and community bonding. Commenting on the initiative, AnupamThareja, Co-founder of Classic Legends, said motorcycling is about shared experiences and relationships formed on the road, adding that the initiative seeks to strengthen the sense of community among riders.

In Kolkata, the growing enthusiasm for leisure motorcycling and riding communities is creating opportunities for premium motorcycle brands and lifestyle-focused events in eastern India. Industry observers note that Kolkata and neighbouring regions are witnessing increased participation in long-distance rides and rider clubs, supporting demand for heritage and performance-classic motorcycles such as Jawa, Yezdi and BSA. Classic Legends, which owns the Jawa, Yezdi and BSA brands, said the event reflects its continued efforts to build stronger rider communities and expand engagement beyond motorcycle ownership.
