The 33rd Annual General Meeting of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) was held at the NRL Centre in Guwahati under the chairmanship of Ranjit Rath, Chairman (NRL) and CMD (OIL).
NRL managing director Bhaskar Jyoti Phukan, directors of the NRL Board, shareholders and senior officials of the company attended the meeting.
In his address, Rath congratulated the company on its continued growth and highlighted its recent elevation from Miniratna category-I to the prestigious Navratna status, which was conferred on December 3, 2025.
Highlighting the company’s robust performance, Rath stated that the standalone net worth of the Company for the Financial Year ending March 31, 2026 stood at Rs 18,912 Crore, reflecting a growth of 17.69 percent compared to the previous Financial Year.
Revenue from operations increased to Rs 26,393 crore in FY 2025-26, as compared to Rs 25,147 crore in FY 2024-25.
The standalone Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the year ending March 31, 2026 was Rs 4,077 crore, while the Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 3,057 crore, registering a significant growth of over 90 percent as compared to the previous Financial Year.
Correspondingly, Earnings Per Share (EPS) increased to Rs 17.52 per share, as compared to Rs 9.82 per share in the previous year.
The higher profit was mainly attributable to an increase in product margins and sales volume during the year.
During FY 2025-26, the refinery processed 3,113 TMT of crude oil, displaying a robust performance at 103 percent of its rated capacity.
The total sales volume during the Financial Year stood at 3200 TMT. Motor Spirit (MS) production during the Financial Year reached 727 TMT, surpassing its all-time production record of 725 TMT. Another milestone was achieved in sulphur recovery, which stood at 6.3 TMT, surpassing the previous high of
5.6 TMT.
During financial year 2025-26, distillate yield was achieved at 87.25 percent, compared to 87.10 percent during FY 2024-25.
Specific Energy Consumption (SEC) for the year stood at 60.61 MBN, as compared to 61.47 MBN during FY 2024-25. The Energy Intensity Index (EII) during the year was 80 percent, compared to 81percent during the previous year.
The company’s flagship Numaligarh Refinery Expansion Project (NREP) achieved 87.1 percent physical progress as on March 31, 2026.
To facilitate evacuation of products following commissioning of NREP, the Siliguri Marketing Terminal of the company is undergoing capacity expansion and augmentation and has achieved 86.3 percent physical progress at the end of the Financial Year.
