Kolkata Metro revises schedule, introduces 6 am services on Blue and Green lines

Kolkata Metro Railway will introduce longer operating hours and additional train services on the Blue and Green corridors on a trial basis from July 27. From Monday to Saturday, the first trains on both lines will depart at 6 am, replacing the current timings of 6.50 am on the Blue Line and 6.39 am on the Green Line. The last trains will leave at 10.30 pm, extending services beyond the existing closing times of 9.44 pm on the Blue Line and 10.05 pm on the Green Line. According to Metro Railway, the revised schedule is intended to make commuting more convenient, especially during busy travel hours, while reducing passenger waiting times.
