Samsung has launched the fifth edition of its flagship innovation and education programme, ‘Samsung Solve for Tomorrow’, aimed at encouraging young innovators across India to develop technology-driven solutions for real-world challenges.
The 2026 edition of the programme will offer incubation grants worth INR 2 crore to the top four winning teams, along with incubation support at IIT Delhi. Applications for the programme are open from May 7 to July 3 for students aged between 14 and 22 years.
Samsung said participants can submit ideas under four themes — AI Living for India, Health & Education, Environmental Sustainability, and Sport & Tech. The six-month programme will provide mentorship, prototyping support, investor connects, workshops and more than 240,000 hours of training.
Samsung Southwest Asia President and CEO JB Park said the company was expanding the programme’s outreach across schools and colleges as it marks 30 years in India. Senior officials from the Government of India and IIT Delhi also backed the initiative, highlighting the role of youth-led innovation in India’s growth.
Under the programme structure, the top 40 teams will receive INR 8 lakh and Samsung laptops, while the top 20 teams will receive INR 20 lakh and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip smartphones.
In Guwahati, the programme could encourage greater participation from students and startups in eastern India, especially as Guwahati continues to emerge as a growing hub for technology education, innovation and entrepreneurship. Such initiatives may help strengthen the city’s startup ecosystem by connecting young innovators with mentorship, funding opportunities and national-level exposure.
