A small decision taken by a mother in 2005 to rebuild her confidence and contribute financially to her family has today become a story of inspiration spanning two generations. Haichai, who spent much of her childhood quietly watching her mother work on an old computer after school, says those moments shaped her understanding of resilience, discipline and independence. What once seemed like ordinary evenings filled with notebooks, meetings and handwritten notes later became the foundation of her own confidence and outlook towards life.
According to the family, Haichai’s mother began her journey with Oriflame after attending a seminar at Mahajati Sadan in Kolkata. Initially hesitant and unsure of herself, she was inspired after hearing women speak openly about financial independence, self-confidence and creating an identity beyond household responsibilities. She joined Oriflame in 2005 and became known for attending every training session with dedication, carrying notebooks filled with learnings and reminders. Her journey, however, was not without challenges. At one point, her performance reportedly dropped to 9 percent, a phase that tested her confidence and persistence.
Despite setbacks, she continued rebuilding steadily over the years and has now achieved the position of Senior Gold Director at Oriflame. This Mother’s Day, she says her proudest achievement is seeing her daughter carry forward the same values she once struggled to build within herself.
