Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has delivered over 201 lakh LPG cylinders across India between April 1 and 16, underlining robust demand and the critical role of its distributor network in ensuring uninterrupted supply. The company said distributors remain the backbone of its LPG ecosystem, managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring timely deliveries across urban, semi-urban, and rural markets. With rising booking volumes, distributors have focused on faster stock rotation and efficient coordination with bottling plants and transport teams.
HPCL reported supplying over 4.30 lakh 5-kg Free Trade LPG cylinders and more than 22,500 2-kg cylinders, catering to migrant workers and consumers seeking smaller, flexible energy options. Digital adoption has further streamlined operations, with 99.3% of bookings now made online, enabling real-time demand tracking and quicker dispatch planning. Logistics support has remained strong, with over 1.23 lakh tankers deployed to ensure uninterrupted replenishment. HPCL also conducted 5,302 inspections between March 14 and April 16, taking action against 124 distributors to maintain compliance and transparency.
In Guwahati, steady LPG demand has been reported across households and commercial users, with distributors maintaining consistent supply despite periodic demand spikes. Market sources indicate improved delivery timelines due to digital booking systems and tighter coordination with regional bottling plants, ensuring minimal disruption even during peak cycles. HPCL said LPG availability remains stable nationwide, urging consumers to avoid unnecessary stocking as distributors continue to manage supply efficiently.
