Kolkata investors show strong interest in crypto, gold and US stocks: Mudrex

Kolkata is emerging as an active market for investors seeking opportunities beyond traditional asset classes, with more than 1,000 traders and investors participating in TradeIQ, according to crypto exchange and tokenised real-world asset trading platform Mudrex.

The event, held in Kolkata, saw strong interest among participants in cryptocurrencies, tokenised gold and US stocks, as investors explored ways to diversify their portfolios and gain access to global markets through a single platform.

Attendees sought information on getting started with crypto trading and investing, strategies for investing in gold, and opportunities in US equities, reflecting a growing appetite for newer and globally diversified investment options.

SaurabhJha, Director of Growth and Marketing at Mudrex, said Kolkata has a sophisticated investor community increasingly focused on diversification across multiple asset classes.

The event comes amid renewed interest in digital assets, with Mudrex reporting an increase in trading activity during the recent crypto market rally. The company said spot trading volumes rose 20 per cent week-on-week across Indian exchanges, including its platform.

Mudrex said its engagement with investors across India is aimed at improving awareness of emerging asset classes and making global investment opportunities more accessible through education and informed participation.
