Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has ramped up its LPG supply operations, delivering over 166 lakh cylinders across India between April 1 and 13, reflecting the resilience of its nationwide distribution network amid rising demand in select markets. The supply chain begins at HPCL’s refineries and import terminals, from where LPG is transported via tankers to bottling plants. Here, cylinders undergo automated inspection, filling, sealing, and safety checks before being dispatched for doorstep delivery. The company also supplied over 3.70 lakh 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders and more than 21,400 2 kg cylinders, improving access to clean fuel for migrant workers and economically diverse groups.
HPCL’s digital backbone remains key, with 99.3% of bookings made online, enabling real-time tracking and transparency through DAC/OTP authentication. The company has also intensified vigilance, conducting 4,999 inspections, suspending 30 distributors, and registering 41 FIRs in the past month to curb malpractices.
In Guwahati, steady replenishment and coordinated logistics have ensured stable LPG availability despite periodic demand spikes. Local distributors report smooth delivery cycles, supported by HPCL’s responsive supply chain, preventing shortages in the region. HPCL said its LPG ecosystem remains fully stocked and operational, urging consumers to avoid unnecessary stocking and book refills as needed.
