On April 15, 2026, the swearing-in ceremony of Samrat Choudhary, the first Chief Minister of Bihar from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was held at Lok Bhawan, Patna, by Governor Syed Ata Hasnain, during which JD(U) leaders Vijay Kumar Choudhary and Bijendra Prasad Yadav took their oaths as Deputy Chief Ministers.
