Assam CM hands Orunodoi 2.0 scheme cards to the beneficiaries

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during ‘Orunodoi 2.0’ scheme programme said that his government has not imposed any additional taxes on the people for implementing various welfare schemes. Under the Orunodoi scheme, economically weak families receive Rs 1,250 in the bank account of the woman member every month to meet various household expenses. Also under the scheme around 7 lakh new names will be added to the list of beneficiaries, taking the total to 26 lakh. Kaziranga officials proclamation on reopening the national park

Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam were closed since May due to continuous rain and warning alert was activated as Brahmaputra river water got raised. Now as the situation got lighter, an official statement said that, Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve under the jurisdiction of Eastern Assam Wildlife Division will be reopened for tourists from October 15, 2023. Assam government to organize cultural event to boost young talent

Assam students stuck in Sikkim flood brought back safely

Majority of Assam students who were enrolled at Sikkim-Manipal University, where the students were stranded in the flood-hit caused in Sikkim recently.
