RBI extends deadline to exchange ₹2,000 notes till October 7

The Central Bank of India(RBI) on September 30 announced the extension date of deadline for citizens to exchange or deposit Rs 2000 notes at bank branches till 7 October following a review. This was done to facilitate the remaining bank customers deposit/exchange Rs 2000 notes who failed to do it until September 30 which was the original deadline set up by the RBI.
