TVS Motor Company, part of TVS VENU, has partnered with She for Society and Taliru Foundation to support women’s economic empowerment through commercial mobility, launching 16 pink electric autos in Bengaluru under the “Building Queens from the Grassroots” initiative.
The 16 e-autos are being delivered to women beneficiaries identified by Taliru Foundation, marking the first phase of a programme planned to scale up to 100 vehicles. The initiative aims to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for women auto drivers while promoting entrepreneurship, income generation and greater participation in the commercial mobility ecosystem.
The programme has received financial support from women’s organisations across India. The launch event was attended by Aishwarya Mahadev, Vice Chairman of Karnataka Road Development Ltd, KPCC Social Media President and AICC spokesperson.
Rajat Gupta, Business Head, Commercial Mobility, TVS Motor Company, said mobility could play a meaningful role in creating opportunities and strengthening livelihoods. He said the partnership reflected the company’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable commercial mobility.
Harshini of She for Society said the initiative seeks to enable women to achieve financial independence through mobility and eventually empower 100 women.
Chitra of Taliru Foundation said the delivery marked an important milestone in creating livelihood opportunities for women aspiring to become independent earners.
