Police nab two accused in Dima Hasao abduction and firing incident

Police in Dima Hasao district, Assam, arrested two individuals suspected of involvement in a kidnapping and a firing incident. Suresh Kherksha, also known as Harish Chandra (42), was apprehended on March 7 by Officer-in-Charge Himanshu Borgohain. Kherksha is linked to the kidnapping of a truck driver in Longkhor on April 25, 2025, and a firing incident in Dikhakhor on February 16, 2026. After nearly a year of searching, the police successfully captured him. Additionally, Hamchen Dibragade (41), another suspect, was arrested in connection with the case.
