Three killed in head-on collision between SUV and truck in North Guwahati

Three people were killed when their SUV collided head-on with a truck at Gauripur in North Guwahati on Thursday.Police said the truck was coming on the wrong side of the road when an SUV coming at a high speed collided head-on with the truck, turning the vehicle into a mangled heap of metal.The deceased have been identified as Ranjit Dey, Karuna Bezbaruah and Partha Pratim Barman. Sources said all three were residents of Maligaon.Police reached the spot soon after the incident and sent the bodies to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.
