Realme Price Hike in India: 16 Pro+, 16 Pro and C-Series Smartphones Get Costlier

Realme has increased the prices of several smartphones in India, following similar price revisions by brands such as OnePlus, Oppo and Vivo. The latest hike affects multiple models across the Realme 16 and C-series, with prices increasing by up to Rs. 4,000.

The revised prices came into effect on August 18. According to a communication reportedly shared by Realme with its retail partners, the company has cited rising costs of memory, chipsets and other smartphone components as the reason behind the price revision.

The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G has received the biggest price increase. Its 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, which was previously priced at Rs. 49,999, now costs Rs. 53,999, marking a Rs. 4,000 hike. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants are now priced at Rs. 55,999 and Rs. 58,999, respectively.

The Realme 16 Pro 5G has also become significantly more expensive. The 8GB + 128GB variant now costs Rs. 44,999, compared with Rs. 40,999 earlier. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants have become Rs. 3,000 costlier and are now available for Rs. 46,999 and Rs. 49,999, respectively.

The regular Realme 16 5G and Realme 16T 5G have seen a comparatively smaller price increase. All three configurations of both smartphones are now Rs. 1,000 more expensive than their previous prices.

Realme’s budget C-series has also been affected by the latest price revision. The Realme C83 5G 4GB + 64GB variant now costs Rs. 18,499, up from Rs. 17,499. The 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB variants have received a Rs. 2,000 hike and are now priced at Rs. 21,499 and Rs. 24,499, respectively.

The Realme C100x 4G has also received a price increase. Its 4GB + 64GB variant is now priced at Rs. 16,999, compared with the earlier price of Rs. 14,999.

The latest price changes were first highlighted by tipster Sanju Chaudhary on X, who shared what appeared to be a communication sent to Realme’s retail partners. Although Realme has not officially announced the price hike, the revised prices are already listed on the company’s India website.

For customers planning to buy any of the affected smartphones, the price revision is already in effect. The previous prices are no longer listed as the standard prices on Realme’s website, while the company has yet to publicly explain the individual price changes for each model.
