On Friday, the Assam and Uttar Pradesh governments opposed Congress spokesperson Pawan Kheda's petition in the Supreme Court. Five Government employees arrested for taken bribes

Five government officials and a driver were arrested by Assam directorate of vigilance and anti-corruption on Thursday and Friday. Supreme Court extended protection towards Assam MLA Akhil Gogoi

Shortage of fuel in Assam from 4th March

On Wednesday, The Assam Petroleum Mazdoor Union (APMU) has announced for a strike in Assam. The date is schedule from 4th March. According to the reports, the strike is for demanding higher remuneration and other statutory benefits. Also the workers will stop loading and unloading at seven LPG plants in Assam -- six owned by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and one by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL).
