A woman from Uttar Pradesh strolls along the Gomti to promote river conservation

12 March Shahjahanpur (U.P.) (PTI) A woman in her early 30s is on a quest to walk the 690-kilometer length of the water body with the goal of igniting a movement for the conservation of the Gomti river.

The Gomat Taal near Madhotanda in the Uttar Pradesh district of Pilibhit is where Shipra Pathak, who describes herself as a water and wildlife conservationist, began her expedition earlier this month.

“Shahjahanpur is where I’ve arrived after travelling around 60 kilometres. Due to the Holi celebrations, we had to temporarily stop the journey, but it has started again as of today “Pathak cited.
