New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan, the Rs 50,000 crore mega scheme to provide jobs to the migrant workers who returned to their respective villages during the coronavirus-mandated lockdown. The mega job scheme will roll out 116 districts across the country, in which the maximum number of migrant workers have returned. Under the Garib Kalyan Rojgaar Yojana, 25 other existing schemes were brought together to provide livelihood for migrant workers for 125 days and create assets for these districts.
