TKM introduces pilot project for road transport

To explore safer ways of vehicle delivery to customers in Manipur, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has initiated a pilot project for road transport of Toyota vehicles until the capital city of Imphal. Thus far, TKM was delivering new vehicles in six-car carrier trucks only up to Khatkati in Assam due to the road infrastructure and other related challenges. TKM’s dealer partner, Punya Toyota, had to send its personnel to drive down individual cars from Khatkati to its outlet in Imphal. Sedition case: Bombay HC extends relief to Kangana Ranaut, sister Rangoli till Jan 25

The Bombay high court on Monday extended the interim relief of no coercive action against actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel until January 25 in connection with an FIR registered against them under sedition and other charges. The HC also directed the city police not to summon the duo for questioning till then. Schools, colleges to reopen in Gujarat today

Looking at the declining cases of coronavrus, the Gujarat government on Wednesday decided to reopen schools in the state from January 11. Issuing an order, Gujarat Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said the students and teaching staff will have to follow the COVID guidelines strictly. The classes will also reopen for graduation and post-graduation final years with mandatory compliance of Covid-19 prevention standard operating procedures (SOPs) and consent of parents. Abandoned at birth, fire claimed infant’s life at Bhandara hospital

Authorities know the names of the mothers of nine out of ten babies who perished in fire at a state-run hospital in Maharashtra's Bhandara district on early Saturday morning.
