In Myanmar's Myawaddy area 32 Indians trapped after falling prey to an international racket promising jobs in Thailand have been rescued. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, "Some fraudulent IT companies seem to be involved in digital scamming and fake crypto activities. They seem to be operating through agents in Dubai, Bangkok and India and recruiting Indian workers on the pretext of jobs, The opportunities to work in Thailand in the IT sector." He also added that workers are lured by social media advertisements of highly lucrative data entry jobs in Thailand.

Several madrassa teachers have been arrested for their links with terrorist organizations. Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu said the Assam government can control all private madrasas in the state. When asked whether private madrassas will be regulated, the minister said, "Till now we were not looking at the issue. We already have a law to monitor private educational institutions. Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) plans to invest Rs 35,000 crore over the next five years to complete its five major ongoing projects, including the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline (IBFPL), a top company official said.
