Assam witnesses sudden hike of fuel prices

Assam witnesses surge of fuel price after Lok Sabha elections results declaration. According to the sources, petrol prices have risen by Rs. 1.02 rupees, while diesel prices have increased by Rs. 1.01. The surge of sudden fuel prices has sparked widespread concern among the residents of Assam, unexpected hike just after twenty-four hours of election results announcement. As of today, the price of petrol in Guwahati stands at Rs 97.19 per litre, a slight increase from yesterday's rate of Rs 96.17. Similarly, diesel prices in Guwahati have risen to Rs 89.42 per litre from yesterday's rate of Rs 88.41.

Amid flood crisis in the region, Assam University postpones TDC semester examination

The Assam University, Silchar had earlier scheduled to being TDC (CBCS) even-semester examinations by June 1, 2024 but due to ongoing natural calamities flood, continuous rain, heavy storm and relief camp on the campus the authorities have decided to cancel the exam. Assam government asks schools to avoid open space for morning prayers

Amidst increasing weather temperature in the state, Assam the education department has issued a notification to protect students from the heat wave. The Elementary Education Department of Assam's Kamrup Metropolitan District issued a notification which said schools need to ring the water bell three times every day during school hours so the students stay hydrated and remain protected from the scorching heat. Several injured during a communal clash

In Assam's Bajali district a dispute between two students took place which turned out to be communal clash. Several people turned violent against each other due to which many were injured and shifted to nearby hospital. Family feud turns out to kill each other in Assam

A youth in Digboi, Assam identified as Amrit Thakur was brutally attacked by a group of miscreants who attempted to kill him. According to the sources, the horrifying incident took place at Digboi Chariali locality. The victim alleged that the attack was done by his wife's relatives due to family feud. Amrit has been seeking seperation from his wife. However, the victim is admitted to hospital and he is under treatment with severe injuries and critical condition.
