Two civil servants from Sikkim were admitted to the Indian Administrative Service

Two senior officers of the Sikkim Civil Service (SCS) have been inducted into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) after completing the formal process of selection for the vacancies meant for the Select List of 2024. The state government confirmed the development on Friday and said that the induction has been approved as per the rules of the central selection procedures. According to officials, the two officers are Sarika Pradhan and Norzing Tsering Shenga. Assam Govt Relaxes Two-Child Policy, Allows Three Children for ST, SC, Tea Garden, Moran and Matak Communities

The decision was notified on December 5 and it now allows members of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, tea garden workers and the Moran and Matak communities to have up to three children without losing government benefits or facing restrictions in government employment or election participation. India’s Central Bank Surprises Market with Rate Cut, Raises FY26 GDP Forecast to 7.3%
