Victim of Nagaon Robbery Dies During Treatment

A woman, who suffered grievous injuries during an armed robbery at her residence in Nagaon district of Assam last month, succumbed to her injuries on Sunday. Ruprekha Bhuyan, wife of Dr Ranjit Saikia, passed away at a private hospital in Guwahati after battling for her life for 16 days following the brutal assault. The gruesome incident took place on April 24. Her husband was also injured in the incident but recovered after undergoing treatment.
