Assam Police and security forces intensified their crackdown on illegal drugs with separate operations across the state, resulting in the arrest of several suspected drug peddlers and the seizure of narcotic substances. Kharuabandha Police conducted an anti-drug operation in Hatsingimari and arrested a suspected drug peddler identified as Nurul Asid. Police said 161 suspected narcotic tablets and a bottle of cough syrup were recovered from his possession.
