Representatives of the Adani Group on Monday met Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as part of the nationwide outreach for Vande Bharatam, an entrepreneurship and innovation initiative launched by Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, and presented him with a programme kit, memento and a letter highlighting the initiative’s objectives.

During the meeting, the delegation briefed the Chief Minister on the initiative’s vision of promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and grassroots talent across the country. According to the Adani Group, the programme has already received more than 400 applications from Assam, reflecting growing interest among aspiring entrepreneurs in the state.

The Chief Minister welcomed the initiative and appreciated its potential to strengthen Assam’s innovation ecosystem by providing innovators with mentorship, industry exposure and a national platform to transform ideas into startups.

In a statement, Gautam Adani said Vande Bharatam reflects the belief that India’s greatest strength lies in the talent and entrepreneurial spirit of its people. He said the support extended by leaders across the country, including Assam, reinforces the Group’s commitment to building an ecosystem where innovation can thrive and young entrepreneurs can convert promising ideas into impactful ventures.

Launched on June 25, 2026, Vande Bharatam is open to participants of all ages and backgrounds. The initiative will select 75 finalists for an intensive mentorship programme, investor access and a grand finale in Ahmedabad around Independence Day. Actor and entrepreneur Rajeev Khandelwal has been named the ambassador and host of the nationwide programme.
