Bajaj Auto has introduced the 2026 Pulsar N160 lineup in the Indian market with prices starting at Rs 1.33 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has expanded the range by adding two new variants — Pulsar N160 S and Pulsar N160 SS. The N160 S has been positioned as the entry-level variant, while the higher-spec N160 SS is priced at Rs 1.42 lakh (ex-showroom). The newly launched Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS come with a host of technology upgrades. The N160 S features an LCD instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation, whereas the N160 SS gets a 5-inch TFT display with Google Maps mirroring. Bajaj says this is the first time such a feature has been introduced in an Indian sports bike.
The N160 SS further gets Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity along with adjustable brake and clutch levers. Both variants are equipped with an electronic throttle system and offer four riding modes — Rain, Road, Sports, and Off-Road.
For improved control and convenience, the top-spec models also feature traction control and Bajaj’s new Crawl Technology. This system helps the motorcycle maintain smooth movement at very low speeds, reducing the need for continuous clutch operation.
Powering the new Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS is a new 4-valve 164.5cc engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The engine produces 18.24 hp of maximum power and 14.4 Nm of peak torque. Compared to the previous 2-valve engine, the new motor delivers an additional 2.46 hp.
Bajaj claims that the updated Pulsar N160 is the quickest motorcycle in its segment, with a 0-60 km/h acceleration time of 4.4 seconds.
The existing Pulsar N160 will remain on sale, while the new S and SS variants will add more options for customers. The latest models receive upgraded hardware, including larger 37mm USD front forks compared to the 33mm USD forks on the current model.
The braking setup has also been improved with a larger 300mm front disc brake. The motorcycles continue with a tubular frame and monoshock rear suspension system. In terms of styling, the new Pulsar N160 S and N160 SS maintain a sporty design and will be available in three colour options — Atlantic Blue, Metallic White, and Brooklyn Black. The bikes also feature coloured alloy wheels and updated graphics for a refreshed appearance.
