Ampere expands Howrah footprint with two new electric scooter experience centres

Greaves Electric Mobility has strengthened Ampere’s retail and service network in Howrah with the inauguration of two new dealerships, Bikash Bikes Point in Domjur and Krishna Motowinds Pvt Ltd in Shibpur, aiming to improve customer access to electric two-wheelers and after-sales support.

The new Experience Centres will showcase Ampere’s portfolio, including the Nexus EX+, Magnus GMax, Magnus Neo and Reo Vyb, catering to different customer segments. The Nexus EX+ features a 5 kW motor, while the Nexus EX+ and Magnus GMax offer variants equipped with more than 30 intelligent features powered by Intellipack. The portfolio also incorporates next-generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology, supported by a standard battery warranty of up to five years or 75,000 km.

The company highlighted its vehicles’ performance credentials, including the Magnus GMax’s nearly 4,000-km endurance ride from Dong Valley in Arunachal Pradesh to Guhar Moti in Gujarat in 15 days. The Nexus platform has also navigated Kolli Hills’ 70 hairpin bends and reached Shipki La Pass at 13,200 feet.

In Howrah, the expansion could strengthen local distribution, improve servicing access and support electric two-wheeler adoption among commuters and value-conscious households. The new centres will also provide product demonstrations and guidance to prospective buyers.

The initiative is part of Greaves Electric Mobility’s broader strategy to expand Ampere’s presence across key markets.
