Vi Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Vodafone Idea, has partnered with Ericsson to launch Robotsav – The Festival of Technology, an inter-school robotics platform aimed at expanding robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) education for students across India. Developed under the Robotics Lab Programme in collaboration with knowledge partner Moinee Foundation, the initiative seeks to make STEM learning more engaging through a mix of digital and hands-on experiences.
The newly launched Robotsav website offers students nationwide access to quizzes, essay-writing competitions, blogs and curated learning resources covering robotics, AI, 3D printing, programming, virtual reality and generative AI. Designed as an open digital platform, it allows learners to develop skills at their own pace, while offline competitions are scheduled to begin in the coming months to encourage innovation and collaboration.
Ambika Khurana, Chief Regulatory & Corporate Affairs Officer at Vodafone Idea and Director of Vi Foundation, said the initiative supports the Digital India mission by making emerging technologies more accessible and inspiring young minds to pursue STEM education. Saharsh Simon David, Head of Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility at Ericsson India, said Robotsav would help nurture curiosity, strengthen problem-solving skills and encourage the next generation of technology innovators.
The Robotics Lab Programme currently operates 20 robotics labs across seven states and has benefited nearly 10,000 students. Through Robotsav, Vi Foundation and Ericsson aim to further expand access to technology education and foster innovation among school students across the country.
