United Breweries Limited (UBL), part of the HEINEKEN Company, has contributed Rs 1 crore towards Assam’s flood relief efforts, supporting the state government’s ongoing rehabilitation and recovery work for affected communities. UBL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Vivek Gupta handed over the contribution to Assam Chief Minister HimantaBiswaSarma during a meeting in Guwahati on Tuesday. The funds will support relief and rehabilitation measures for communities impacted by this year’s floods, which have displaced families and caused damage to homes, farmland and local infrastructure across several districts.
Gupta said Assam has remained an important part of UBL’s journey, with Kingfisher maintaining a strong and longstanding connection with consumers in the state. He said the company stood with flood-affected families and communities and hoped the contribution would provide meaningful support as people rebuild their lives and livelihoods. He also acknowledged the Chief Minister’s leadership of the relief and rehabilitation efforts.
