Eveready Industries India Ltd. has taken its rural consumer outreach campaign, ‘Chalo SHOR Machate Hai!’, to Benipur Mandi in Darbhanga, Bihar, showcasing its Shor Torch DL190 through live demonstrations and interactive engagements. The two-day activation, which began on August 10, aims to familiarise farmers with the rechargeable torch’s crop-protection features designed to help deter animal intrusion into agricultural fields.
The Shor Torch DL190 comes with a 100 dBA animal alarm, a 5W front torch with a 1-km beam, a 3W side light and red UV strobe functionality. It is powered by a 3,600 mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery with Type-C fast charging and offers up to five hours of lighting. Eveready said the product is designed for nighttime farm surveillance during critical crop cycles such as sowing and harvesting.
Benipur Mandi serves as an important agricultural trading and interaction hub, making it a strategic platform for Eveready to engage directly with farmers, understand local challenges and demonstrate practical rural-use products. The activation also includes branded campaign vehicles and two-wheeler outreach units covering nearby villages and agricultural clusters.
Eveready CEO Anirban Banerjee said the company aims to take meaningful solutions directly to consumers and address persistent challenges faced by India’s farming community.
The Darbhanga activation is part of the wider campaign covering agricultural mandis and melas across Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
