TVS Motor unveils four production-ready models at EICMA 2026, sharpens European expansion strategy

TVS Motor Company has unveiled four production-ready models at EICMA 2026 in Milan, strengthening its European expansion strategy with a portfolio spanning electric mobility, premium urban transportation and lightweight sports motorcycling. The models include the TVS Orbiter, TVS M1-S, TVS X and TVS RTR 125, developed to address the evolving mobility requirements of European customers.

The company said its European growth strategy is backed by dedicated engineering capabilities, an expanding retail network and global manufacturing expertise. Its Italian retail network now comprises more than 100 outlets, while 22 additional retailers are operational across Spain and Portugal. Sales in Italy have increased by 110 per cent over the past year.

TVS Motor is targeting a higher contribution from international business, with the potential to account for 30 per cent or more of its overall revenue by 2030. The company has also invested more than $1 billion in electric vehicle and battery ecosystems and sold over one million electric scooters globally.

In Guwahati, the expansion reflects the growing importance of electric mobility and premium two-wheeler segments in emerging urban centres. The introduction of more diverse electric scooters and lightweight performance motorcycles could offer opportunities for the company to strengthen its product positioning in Northeast India, subject to future market-specific launches and availability.

Peyman Kargar, President of International Business, said Europe was a strategic market and highlighted the importance of strengthening distribution, dealer capabilities and aftersales services. Kargar has also been appointed Director and CEO  of TVS Motor Company, effective January 27, 2027, succeeding K. N. Radhakrishnan.
