Tata Motors has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with public sector lender UCO Bank to strengthen the commercial vehicle financing ecosystem across India by providing customers with easier access to organised and affordable financing solutions. The partnership combines UCO Bank’s nationwide branch network with Tata Motors’ extensive commercial vehicle portfolio to support entrepreneurs, fleet operators and businesses seeking to expand their operations.
Under the agreement, customers will benefit from competitive interest rates, faster loan approvals, simplified documentation, high loan-to-value funding and flexible repayment tenures designed to suit business cash flows. The companies said the collaboration would improve financing accessibility in both urban and rural markets through coordinated efforts across bank branches and Tata Motors dealerships. UCO Bank General Manager and Zonal Head–Mumbai Shashikant Kumar said the partnership reflects the bank’s commitment to offering customer-centric financing solutions that help businesses grow with confidence. Tata Motors Vice President and Business Head–Trucks Rajesh Kaul said organised financing remains a key enabler for commercial vehicle customers and the partnership would deliver end-to-end mobility and financial solutions.
In Kolkata, the collaboration is expected to benefit transporters, logistics firms and small businesses across eastern India, where UCO Bank has a strong presence and commercial vehicle demand remains robust. Easier credit availability could support fleet expansion, last-mile connectivity and regional trade, while enhancing financing access for operators in West Bengal and neighbouring states. Tata Motors offers one of India’s widest commercial vehicle portfolios, ranging from sub-one-tonne cargo vehicles to 55-tonne trucks and 10-seater to 51-seater buses. The company also provides lifecycle support through its SampoornaSeva 2.0 initiative, Fleet Edge connected vehicle platform and a nationwide network of more than 4,500 sales and service touchpoints.
