Shalimar Paints has launched Hero Titan X16 and Zero Damp Titan X16, an integrated two-layer exterior protection system aimed at the premium and ultra-luxury residential segment. The company said the system combines waterproofing, exterior aesthetics and a Thermal Barrier Mechanism, backed by dual 16-year warranties for waterproofing and durability.
Zero Damp Titan X16 serves as the waterproofing base coat and uses PU-Silicone Elastomeric Matrix Technology, offering elasticity, adhesion and crack-bridging capability of up to 3mm. Hero Titan X16, applied as the upper layer, features Tri-Shield Polymer Technology and Photo-Stable Colour Lock Technology. According to the company, the system can reduce exterior surface temperatures by up to 25°C while providing colour retention, crack resistance and lower maintenance requirements.
In Kolkata, the launch comes as premium homeowners and residential projects increasingly seek exterior coatings that combine visual appeal with protection against weather-related wear and moisture. The company is positioning the system for affluent homeowners, luxury residences and premium villas where long-term performance is a key consideration.

He noted that decorative paints derive nearly three-fourths of their demand from the housing segment, with premiumisation emerging as a key growth driver.
