PRISM-owned Weddingz to add 50 company serviced banquets in ’26

Weddingz, the weddings and events business of PRISM, plans to scale its network of company-serviced banquets to 50 venues across key Indian markets in 2026, building on the 25 banquets it has successfully launched across India with encouraging response. The company will focus its rollout on cities such as Gurugram, Kolkata, Jaipur, Ghaziabad, Patna and Mumbai, where the model has already received an encouraging response. The expansion marks a significant push into professionally operated venue management in India’s fast-growing celebrations, events and banqueting sector.

Under the company-serviced model, Weddingz brings its technology, hospitality expertise, sales capabilities and operating systems directly into banquet properties while owners retain ownership of their real estate.

The model is designed to address some of the most persistent challenges in the banquet business including staffing, vendors, inventory, sales, customer service and event execution at the same time, while dealing with highly variable demand between wedding and non-wedding dates. Weddingz will take on this complexity through centralised, professional management, covering day-to-day operations and manpower, vendor coordination, lead generation, revenue optimisation and a consistent customer experience.

A key focus of the model will be to help banquet properties move beyond dependence on peak wedding dates.

Speaking on the development, Aditya Sharma, Business Head, Weddingz said “Beyond simply managing the venue, our focus is on helping banquet owners unlock the full potential of their properties. This means creating the right positioning, pricing and visibility for each venue based on its location, customer profile and competitive landscape. At the same time, we see significant opportunity to diversify revenue beyond weddings by building demand for corporate events, conferences, meetings, social gatherings, celebrations and other functions.”

This could enable venue owners to unlock additional revenue opportunities from their existing assets while benefiting from a professional operating partner with capabilities across hospitality, events, technology and consumer acquisition.

The company expects its network of company-serviced banquets to create a more consistent operating experience for customers while establishing scalable systems that can be replicated across markets.

Weddingz’s expansion comes as India’s celebrations and events ecosystem continues to evolve, driven by rising consumer spending, the growth of organised weddings, destination celebrations and increasing demand for corporate and social events.

The company will continue to explore partnerships with banquet and property owners across India who are looking to unlock the potential of their venues through professional management and a broader event-led revenue strategy.
