Pulsar 180 returns with modern upgrades, marks 25 years of iconic Bajaj brand

Bajaj Auto Ltd has announced the return of its iconic motorcycle, the Pulsar 180, featuring new graphics, an LED headlamp, LED blinkers, and a Bluetooth-enabled digital console. The bike has been priced at Rs 1,22,490 (ex-showroom Delhi) and reintroduced in response to strong rider demand. The relaunch coincides with 25 years of the Pulsar brand, which debuted with the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180, reshaping India’s performance biking segment. The company said the Pulsar 180 had originally set benchmarks by combining higher engine performance with everyday usability, helping usher in the era of sports motorcycling in the country.

The updated model retains its aggressive styling while adding modern features and improved refinement. Positioned as an upgrade for 150–160cc riders, it aims to deliver enhanced performance, design, and value. Sarang Kanade, President, MCBU, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said the reintroduction reflects strong consumer demand and the brand’s enduring appeal. “Reimagined for a new generation, it continues to embody our ‘Definitely Daring’ philosophy,” he said.

The return of the Pulsar 180 is expected to resonate strongly in Guwahati, where demand for performance-oriented commuter motorcycles remains high. With a growing base of young riders upgrading from 150cc segments, dealers anticipate healthy traction for the model, particularly due to its pricing, brand recall, and added connectivity features. Bajaj Auto, which has sold over 21 million motorcycles across 100 countries, continues to strengthen its portfolio with products focused on performance, design, and technology.
