Bajaj Auto Ltd. has launched its new electric three-wheeler portfolio under the brand Bajaj WEGO, marking what it calls India’s widest range of EV 3-wheelers across passenger and cargo segments. The new lineup offers a class-leading range of up to 296 km and starts at Rs. 3,11,908 (ex-showroom Delhi). The WEGO portfolio includes passenger variants—P50, P70 and P90 series—and cargo models under the C90 range. The vehicles are powered by an electric drivetrain with 2-speed auto transmission, regenerative braking and an advanced battery management system aimed at reducing range anxiety and improving long-term ownership value.
Features include Bluetooth connectivity, digital LCD display, hill hold, climb mode and enhanced gradability. The vehicles also offer improved passenger space, ergonomic design, a 5-year warranty and access to over 1,500 service touchpoints. In the passenger segment, the P50 series delivers up to 272 km range, while the P70 series targets urban and semi-urban shared mobility. The top-end P90 offers a range of 296 km. Cargo variants C9009 and C9012 offer up to 207 km for last-mile delivery needs.
Samardeep Subandh, President – Intra-City Business, said the range is “purpose-built to meet diverse customer needs” across segments. The launch is expected to strengthen Bajaj Auto’s footprint in the Northeast, particularly in Guwahati, where demand for electric three-wheelers is rising amid fuel cost concerns and policy push for cleaner mobility. With growing last-mile delivery demand and shared transport usage, the WEGO range could see strong adoption among fleet operators and small businesses in the region.
