Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has reported robust wholesale figures for April 2024, indicating a promising start to the fiscal year. The company recorded consolidated wholesales of 3043 units, with domestic sales accounting for 2404 units and exports standing at 639 units.This achievement comes on the heels of Nissan Motor India’s recent milestone of surpassing 30,000 sales for its popular model, the Nissan Magnite, for the third consecutive year. The Magnite has firmly established itself as a game-changer in India’s automotive market, with its blend of design excellence and efficient production.
Mr. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, expressed satisfaction with the performance, attributing it to the company’s customer-centric approach and recent network expansion efforts. He highlighted the addition of new dealerships in New Delhi and Durgapur as part of the company’s commitment to providing accessible and exceptional automotive experiences across regions. Since its launch in December 2020, the Magnite has garnered widespread acclaim, with over 100,000 units sold domestically and 30,000 units exported to international markets. The model embodies Nissan Motor India’s ‘Make-In-India, Make for the World’ manufacturing philosophy, combining Japanese design excellence with Indian production efficiency.
Nissan’s commitment to expanding its network footprint is underscored by the recent launch of multiple showrooms and service workshops, bringing the total touchpoints to 270 across India. The company aims to strengthen its presence in key markets and enhance the customer experience. Furthermore, the Nissan Magnite continues to make waves globally, being exported to 15 countries including recent launches in Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Brunei. Nissan Motor India’s focus on exports to Middle Eastern countries further solidifies its position as a key player in the international market.
