Modi- Shah has not been able to compete with Mamata Banerjee in terms of popularity in Bengal, says RSS

BJP has not been able to compete with Mamata Banerjee in terms of political leadership and popularity. Even when Narendra Modi and Amit Shah came in Bengal multiple times, they could not stick to Bangaliana. After BJP’s defeat in West Bengal, such a comment was made by RSS itself. RSS has also praised Mamata’s leadership and popularity. Taking people from other political parties for its failure of BJP to bring people out of the grassroots without judging them. In West Bengal, the number of seats has increased from 3 to 77, with the BJP gaining the status of the main opposition party. While BJP’s central and state leadership wants to portray it as ‘positive’, oppositely RSS thinks it is as a failure.

What BJP did two years ago in the Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal, RSS considering the  performance in Bidhan Sabha election as a disaster. Compared to the Lok Sabha elections, BJP has lost 2% votes in West Bengal this time in West Bengal Assembly election. After the results of the West Bengal polls were announced, RSS said that the BJP’s main fight in the state was against the Trinamool Congress. The result of the policy of constantly evicting people from that party was not very good decision. RSS has called it a ‘bad experiment’. Those who were brought from the grassroots have also been vocal that their effectiveness has not been verified.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, where the BJP was leading in 121 Assembly constituencies, it would be considered a bad result to come down to 77 seats in 2021. RSS praised the Trinamool leader saying, “no BJP state level leader has been able to match Mamata Banerjee’s political stature.” Mamata’s political leadership and popularity could not be matched. Although Narendra Modi and Amit Shahera are popular, their popularity did not work in Bengal because they did not match with Bangaliana!
