Loan Book Expansion Drives Bajaj Finance’s Strong Q1FY27 Results

Bajaj Finance Limited reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated net profit attributable to owners rising 27.4 per cent year-on-year to ₹5,985.75 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company’s profit growth was supported by higher net interest income and continued expansion in its assets under management (AUM).

The lender’s consolidated AUM increased 23.9 per cent to ₹5.47 trillion as of June 30, 2026, compared with ₹4.41 trillion during the same period last year. The company added ₹36,969 crore to its AUM during the quarter, reflecting strong growth across its lending operations.

Bajaj Finance’s net interest income rose 22.9 per cent to ₹12,571 crore from ₹10,228 crore a year earlier. Net total income increased to ₹15,224 crore, while pre-provisioning operating profit grew 21.6 per cent to ₹10,137 crore, highlighting improved operational performance.

During the quarter, the company recorded 16.13 million new loans, marking a 19.6 per cent increase compared with 13.49 million loans booked in the previous year period. Its customer base also expanded significantly, growing 16.8 per cent to 124.43 million from 106.51 million.
